Questions before you commit?
Is the free tier actually free? What's the catch?
Yes, actually free. No credit card. No 30-day trial that turns into a charge. Breeze, Compass, and Keel each have permanent free tiers — not demos. Helm runs a 14-day free trial because the faculty feature set is deeper.
The "catch": free tiers have feature limits. Grade tracking caps at 2 courses in Breeze. Course auditing caps at 25 in Keel. When you hit those limits, you'll know.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans: cancel and you keep access until the end of your billing period. Annual plans: cancel and you keep access through the end of your paid year. If you're in your first 30 days and it's not working, reach out — we'll make it right.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your extension settings and local data live in your browser, not on our servers. They stay there until you uninstall. What we hold server-side is limited: your account info and subscription status. Delete your account, we delete that too.
What AI providers does BYOK support?
OpenAI (GPT-4o, GPT-4.1), Anthropic (Claude 3.5, Claude 3 Haiku), and Google Gemini (Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini Flash). Your API key is stored locally in your browser and never transmitted to Bridge & Harbor.
My institution wants to buy this for everyone — is there a team price?
We're self-serve right now — no institutional procurement portal. But if you're a department chair or IT admin trying to roll out Helm or Keel for your team, email hello@bridgeharbor.app and we'll figure out a path. It'll be a real conversation, not an enterprise sales process.
Is there a student discount?
Breeze is $19.99 one-time — we kept it there because students aren't exactly flush. No additional discount program right now, but if you have a .edu address and that's genuinely a barrier, email us. We're not going to turn away a student.
Rolling this out for a department or team?
We're self-serve by design — no procurement portals, no DPAs, no sales calls. But if you need to put our tools in the hands of your whole team, reach out and tell us what you're trying to do.
